Healing That Honors Your Life

Consultation in a modern setting.

Addiction affects women differently than men. Your life roles, as caregivers, professionals, mothers, partners, create unique vulnerabilities. The trauma you carry often manifests differently.

Most treatment programs don’t account for this reality. They apply generic protocols and expect generic outcomes. But you are not generic. Your journey to addiction, your reasons for change, your fears about what recovery means for your life, these are distinctly yours.

We begin with a foundational commitment: to understand you completely before we treat you, to listen, assess, and design a recovery path that honors both the clinical depth you need and the dignity you deserve.

Our 360°Assessment & Treatment Architecture

Rather than beginning with diagnosis, we begin with discovery. Over your first days, our team conducts a sophisticated clinical evaluation that reveals not just what is wrong, but why it developed. This becomes the foundation for every clinical decision that follows.

Complete Medical Archaeology

We excavate your full history, substance use trajectory, medical health, trauma timeline, relationship patterns, and the specific ways addiction became necessary in your life. This isn’t paperwork. It’s narrative understanding.

Evidence-Based Therapies, Calibrated for You

We don’t apply a single modality universally. Instead, we select and integrate from our full range of evidence-backed approaches based entirely on your clinical profile, your specific drivers, and what will create lasting change for you.

Many women’s addiction originates in unprocessed trauma. We use CPT and trauma-focused CBT to safely process traumatic memory, reducing both its emotional and physiological grip. This reaches the nervous system at depths talk therapy alone cannot access.
For women managing intense emotions, anxiety, and attachment disruption alongside addiction, DBT provides concrete skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and relationship healing. You learn to move through emotional overwhelm without substances.
A sophisticated approach that works with your internal parts, the protective parts that developed substance use, the vulnerable parts seeking connection. IFS creates internal healing that often shifts addiction at its root.
Rather than imposing change, we evoke it. MI respects your autonomy, meets you where you are, and builds the internal conviction that sustains long-term recovery. You become the source of your own change.
Medications stabilize brain chemistry, reduce cravings, and create the neurological conditions that make therapy most effective. For women, we account for hormonal health, reproductive concerns, and ongoing medical needs throughout treatment and beyond.
Addiction rarely exists alone. Anxiety, depression, trauma responses, PTSD, mood disorders, we treat all of it simultaneously with equal depth. Untreated mental health is the leading cause of relapse. We don’t leave it to chance.

Whole-Person Healing Through Holistic Care

Recovery requires healing the mind and body simultaneously. We integrate evidence-based clinical work with sophisticated holistic practices that support nervous system regulation, physical restoration, and the embodied healing many women have never experienced.

Every Question You Carry Deserves to Be Heard

We take the time to understand not just the situation, but the woman behind it, so we can guide you honestly on whether Legacy is truly the right place for your healing.

All communication is completely private and handled with the highest level of confidentiality. Your information is never shared without your clear, explicit consent.

Program Duration Tailored to Your Needs

Research consistently shows that longer residential treatment produces significantly better long-term outcomes, particularly for women with trauma histories or complex co-occurring conditions. Choose the duration that matches your clinical picture and life circumstances.

1. 30 Days – Foundational Program

Ideal for women with straightforward substance use, strong external support systems, and the ability to engage quickly in recovery work. Provides essential clinical stabilization and therapeutic initiation.

What this program includes:

  • Comprehensive medical evaluation and detoxification support (if needed)
  • Daily individual therapy sessions with your assigned therapist to establish rapport and begin processing core issues
  • Group therapy focused on addiction education, coping skills development, and peer support
  • Introduction to trauma-informed care and initial trauma assessment
  • Medication-assisted treatment evaluation and stabilization (when appropriate)
  • Daily holistic wellness: yoga, movement classes, nutrition counseling, and meditation
  • Family consultation (optional, on your terms)
  • Intensive discharge planning and aftercare strategy development
  • Introduction to relapse prevention tools specific to your triggers
  • Access to all wellness facilities: fitness center, spa services, massage therapy

Choose This Program

30 days if your substance use developed recently, you have strong external support, minimal trauma history, and you’re committed to intensive ongoing therapy. This works best when you know what helped before and can replicate that support structure after treatment.

2. 60 Days – Recommended Program

The optimal choice for most women, particularly those with co-occurring mental health conditions, prior trauma, or previous treatment attempts. Allows sufficient depth for therapeutic breakthroughs and stabilization.

What this program includes:

  • Intensive trauma-focused therapy, advanced Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills training, and Individual psychotherapy that evolves with you.
  • Women-specific group therapy exploring gender-specific trauma, identity, and recovery, and optional family sessions (on your terms).
  • For women with  dual diagnosis history, the additional time allows for comprehensive simultaneous treatment rather than sequential treatment
  • Expanded personal training and fitness programming (2-3 sessions weekly) for physical restoration
  • Nutrition counseling with integration into your treatment plan for physical restoration
  • Two full weeks dedicated to relapse prevention and development of a sophisticated support network and sober friend group to address post-treatment reintegration

Choose This Program

60 days if you have a trauma history, co-occurring mental health conditions, or prior treatment attempts. This is the research-backed recommendation for most women. It provides sufficient depth for lasting change without the extended commitment that some women’s life circumstances don’t allow.

3. 90 Days – Comprehensive Program

Optimal for women with significant trauma, multiple prior treatments, or complex dual diagnosis requiring deeper clinical and emotional work. Creates time for true integration and lasting transformation.

What this program includes:

  • Trauma-focused therapy (3-4 sessions weekly), advanced trauma resolution modalities including EMDR, CBT and DBT work, and psychotherapy that evolves over 12 weeks.
  • Intensive Dual Diagnosis Treatment and extended medication management with adequate time for optimal dosing and neurological stabilization.
  • Consistent massage and somatic therapy addressing trauma stored in the body (weekly sessions)
  • Advanced trauma-informed yoga (daily), personal training and fitness programming (3-4 sessions weekly) with art and music therapy (2-3 sessions weekly) as primary healing modalities alongside talk therapy.
  • Real-world simulation and role-play of high-risk situations, peer mentorship and community contribution
  • Intensive, multi-week focus on relapse prevention (weeks 8-12) and development of detailed, personalized emergency protocols and crisis plans
  • Comprehensive coordination with multiple levels of outpatient care (therapy, psychiatry, medical)
  • Ongoing aftercare check-ins scheduled for post treatment and time to become adjusted to life without drugs or alcohol

Choose This Program

90 days if you have significant unprocessed trauma, multiple failed treatment attempts, complex dual diagnosis, or addiction rooted in deep emotional or relational patterns. Choose this when you need true transformation, not just stabilization. When you need time to rebuild your nervous system and identity from the ground up.

Hello everyone, I was at the Castilian facility this past August. I really appreciate all the support and knowledge of all the staff. You have truly given me my life back.
I'm currently at Santa Barbara New House II in Santa Barbara after the 90 day facility Santa Barbara Recovery. Working at Whole Foods, going to SBCC with a biology major and hoping to work in the recovery industry. Giving back what was so freely given to me. I could not have done it without the calaborative effort of the wonderful staff at Castilian house. If your ever in Santa Barbara look me up.

This place is amazing. As someone who has struggled with addiction most of my life and has been to several treatment facilities, Legacy was by far the best. They are extremely accommodating to their patients, the staff felt more like a family than a facility, and I feel like the genuinely care about the people who come through those doors. The groups are smaller, so they feel more personal. Dawn, one of the facilitators, is incredibly kind and really cares about the people she works with. Warren, one of the therapists, is probably one of the best people I've ever met, even the chefs are the nicest people(shout out JZ). The techs treat you like you are a person, nkt a number. Clarissa is truly amazing and Phillip keeps the house in high spirits.Hopefully this will be my last treatment, but rest assured, if I were ever to relapse, I wouldn't hesitate to call them.

Big shout out to Dennis for getting me here swiftly!! I enjoyed the holistic approach with 2 groups a day, individual therapy weekly, self-care (massage, chiropractor, facial, personal trainer), and alone time to process and relax outside in nature. The swings, pool, and hot tub were an added bonus. Warren is amazing. He is gentle, thoughtful, and insightful. The group facilitators (Dawn, Joy, Emir, and Anissa) provided both education and fantastic support to everyone. Joy took it a step further in planning the next session based upon the needs identified in the previous group. The behavior techs (Clarissa, Monica, Monica, Rava, Jimmy, etc.) were timely in response to every request and provided support. The chefs' adapted well and went out of their way to assure everyone's dietary requests and needs were met. Love the daily fruit shake! The case manager, Sarah, was timely, personal, and initiated processes without needing to ask. The medical team (Shaza, Skeku, Richard, Eliza, Gerald, Derrick, etc.) immediately addressed all concerns with medication with education and changes. Overall, a fantastic experience for a dark point in my life. This is my second time here and hopefully my last! I will highly recommend Legacy Healing Center. Thank you for everything!!!

The Castillian house and staff were amazing. Such a nice house and all the techs and nurses were very helpful and caring. Dawn, Warren , Monica, Bree , Clarissa, Andrew and Will were just fun to be around , always in a good mood and laughing and do way more than is required of them in their job descriptions and they should be getting raises for their work ethic and ability to always be positive. Just a great environment to recover in. The chefs were great too. Can’t say enough about legacy and how much this program helped me !

Overall, I am incredibly grateful to the Legacy staff members for a great experience. Staff did a fantastic job making me feel heard when I needed something or brought up a concern. My only concern was the disorganization of the higher ups at Legacy. However, all BHTs, nurses, therapists, case managers, and group facilitators were excellent. I pray I don't relapse, but if I do, I feel more than comfortable and willing to return to this program.

I have really enjoyed my stay at the Castilian location. In the past I have been to many other places that felt like they were more worried about quantity more than quality. Here I have received a more private level of care including the detox. Everyone from the medical staff to the people who work at the house daily all listened to every concern I had and would do what could to take care of it.

This is my second time at Legacy, and once again I was welcomed back immediately with no questions asked. Thank you, Travis, for making that transition so easy.

I truly cannot say enough about how wonderful my experiences at Legacy have been. The techs are some of the most experienced, kind, and knowledgeable people I’ve encountered when it comes to addiction and recovery. The psychiatric nurse and psychiatrist work hand in hand with the nursing staff to ensure medications are appropriate and that I’m not experiencing any negative side effects, which gave me great peace of mind.

The food was phenomenal! Thank you to the chefs, Mike, April, and Alec. I’m also incredibly grateful to the techs who worked so closely with me: Will, Bri, Ivan, Ty, Ray, Derrick, Rava, and supervisor Sophina. The group leaders’ vast knowledge, empathy, and understanding made a lasting impact—thank you, Lindsey, Dawn, Joy, and Marlena.

Through this experience, I’m leaving sober and deeply grateful for my fellow clients. We leaned on each other for communication, comfort, and support while missing our families and work, knowing that this time spent healing will help us return as better family members and employees. The empathy shown throughout my stay was truly meaningful.

My counselor, Nicole, was exceptional at recognizing and helping me address my core issues surrounding my alcohol use. My Case Manager, Sarah, went above and beyond by providing me with future resources so I can continue carrying on my sobriety after discharge.

Legacy has played a crucial role in my recovery, and I am deeply thankful to everyone who made this experience so positive and life changing.

With gratitude,

This place is top notch service. Its like what you see on TV for celebrities. There is a personal chef for each house. Plenty of space to stretch your legs and personal rooms. The group sessions twice a day are unmatched to anything you have probably ever exspirenced in a situation where you need treatment. Check out the website, and once you see it, you'll take the dive to get the help you need. I highly recommend Legacy out here in California, especially if you have never been to the West Coast. This is a healing exspirence I know I will never forget. Also the staff is extremely helpful and kind. Take the plunge and make the call to get sober and sound. You won't regret it.

Legacy has made me feel like a Queen from that first call that I made to them. When I was at the darkest time in my life, they helped me by taking care of all the details so that I could focus on my recovery. They booked my flight, got me to California safely, picked me up from the airport. They say “luxury rehab” and 1000% live up to it. I had a personal chef, personal trainer, messages, manicures and massages. These amenities aren’t by any means necessary, however it definitely made my stay better. The staff go out of their way to support and love on their patients.
My clinical staff, I can’t express how incredible they were. They met me right where I was at, they specifically pinpointed what I needed to work on and developed a treatment plan with me.
I’m now 50 days sober and extremely thankful and genuinely grateful to all that they have done for me. I highly recommend making that first call just as I did. You won’t regret it.

I can’t say enough good things about this facility. From the moment I arrived, I felt truly cared for and supported. The staff is incredibly compassionate, professional, and genuinely dedicated to helping each person succeed in their recovery journey. You can tell they really love what they do and go above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable and understood.

The group sessions are amazing and so informative—I learned so much about myself, addiction, and how to build a healthy, fulfilling life moving forward. Each group is led by people who clearly know what they’re talking about, and they create such a safe and open environment to share and grow.

And let’s talk about the house—it’s like a world-class mansion! Beautiful, spotless, and filled with every amenity you could ask for. From the cozy rooms to the outdoor spaces and recreational areas, it’s truly a peaceful, luxurious environment that makes healing feel possible.

If you’re looking for a place that truly combines comfort, education, and compassionate care, this is the place to go. It exceeded every expectation I had and changed my life for the better.

I had an incredible experience at Legacy Healing Center CA. My therapist Scott was incredible. He really helped me to start working on the root of my SUD. The BHT’s were kind and ensured we felt more than comfortable. Our chefs provided us with Michelin star food! Honestly the best food I’ve ever had in a treatment center and or restaurants. The facility was beautiful and I learned a lot from the facilitators and therapists.

Alumni coordinator, Isabella, got me back into treatment multiple times. She continually checked on me. She cares and it shows. Without her guidance and support, I wouldn’t have made it back into treatment. I’m so grateful for Isabella.

You Deserve Recovery That Honors Your Whole Self

The decision to seek treatment is courageous and we understand what women need to heal in the specific, sophisticated way your life, your mind, and your circumstances demand.

The conversation begins with a single call. No commitment until you’re ready. No judgment. Just clarity and compassion.

Questions about Women Considering Treatment

Privacy is structural at Legacy, not promised. All admissions communications are HIPAA-compliant and confidential. Communication with family is entirely on your terms, with your control. Your presence here is known only to those directly involved in your care. Our concierge team can coordinate your travel arrangements discreetly with no reference to treatment.

Prior treatment that didn’t produce lasting results is almost always a failure of diagnosis, not a failure of you. Our 360° assessment is specifically designed to identify what prior programs missed, the underlying conditions, the specific drivers, the clinical picture that wasn’t fully addressed. We start there, with deeper understanding, not the same approach applied with more conviction.
Yes. Trauma-informed care is foundational to our entire clinical model, not a separate module. We offer specialized trauma therapies including CBT, DBT, and trauma-focused processing. All work happens safely, at your pace, without re-traumatization. We don’t ask you to revisit difficult experiences before you’re ready or without appropriate clinical support.
Yes, clinically evaluated on an individual basis. Medications stabilize brain chemistry and reduce cravings, creating the neurological conditions that make therapy most effective. For women specifically, medication decisions account for hormonal health and reproductive concerns. MAT is always monitored by physicians and integrated with therapy, never used as a standalone intervention.
Women-only group therapy creates safety and openness that co-ed settings often don’t. Female therapists are available. We address women-specific concerns: hormonal health, trauma patterns, caregiving responsibilities, self-esteem, and identity. Our clinical approach specializes in how addiction uniquely affects women’s lives, not a generic program adapted for women.
Residential treatment works best with a temporary step-back from daily demands, that separation is part of what makes it effective. Your specific situation is discussed during admissions, and we work with you on realistic arrangements. For some women, this means coordination with family or childcare support during your stay. We don’t expect you to abandon your responsibilities; we work alongside them.
Alumni are always welcome back without judgment. Our emergency protocols and support are available. Aftercare is specifically structured to prevent relapse, but we address it with compassion and clinical support if it occurs. Relapse is not failure, it’s part of recovery for many people. We’re here either way.
Yes. Start by verifying your insurance coverage. Then discuss payment options with our admissions team. We explore payment plans, sliding scale options, financing, and other resources. Cost should never prevent you from getting help. There is always a conversation to be had.
Where clinically appropriate and with your treatment team’s guidance, specific professional or family obligations can be accommodated within your program structure. This is assessed individually and always with your recovery as the primary consideration. Legacy’s model was built for people whose lives don’t simply pause. Your treatment plan reflects that reality.
Yes. Many women prefer working with female therapists, especially when processing trauma or gender-specific concerns. Female clinicians are available throughout your treatment. Your preferences are honored in your treatment planning.
