Why Legacy Healing

Whole-Person Mental Health Care,Built Around You

1

Individualized Treatment Plans

Every client gets a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and a personalized treatment plan — not a generic protocol. Your symptoms, history, and goals shape the entire course of care.

2

Evidence-Based Therapies

Our clinicians deliver CBT, DBT, EMDR, trauma-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing — modalities backed by decades of research for treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and mood disorders.

3

Qualified Clinical Team

Board-certified psychiatrists, licensed therapists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners guide every step of your mental health care, anchored by a senior medical leadership team focused on long-term outcomes, not symptom suppression.
Conditions We Treat

Specialized Outpatient Care for Common (and Complex)Conditions

We treat a wide range of mental health conditions at our Cincinnati center. Each condition presents differently from person to person — which is why our care is personalized, evidence-based, and clinically rigorous.
A male patient sits with his head in his hands, appearing distressed, while a female therapist on an office chair rests a hand on his arm to comfort him, both in a modern counseling room.
Program

Anxiety Disorders

A male patient sits with his head in his hands, appearing distressed, while a female therapist on an office chair rests a hand on his arm to comfort him, both in a modern counseling room.

We support adults living with generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety, specific phobias, and OCD. Treatment starts with a thorough psychiatric evaluation to rule out medical contributors and identify the right diagnosis. From there, your plan combines evidence-based therapy (CBT, exposure-and-response prevention where indicated, mindfulness-based stress reduction), medication management when appropriate, and structured group sessions that teach concrete coping skills you can use the moment symptoms spike. Our goal isn’t to chase the feeling of “no anxiety” — it’s to give you the clinical tools and confidence so anxiety becomes manageable instead of running your life. Most clients see meaningful change within the first eight to twelve weeks.

Program

Depression & Major Depressive Disorder

Private Los Angeles residential rehab property with a swimming pool, outdoor lounge areas, and spacious landscaped surroundings designed to provide a calm setting during addiction recovery.
Depression is more than a low mood — it’s a clinical condition that responds to treatment, and the difference between “surviving” and actually living again is often only a few months of focused care away. Our approach combines evidence-based therapies (CBT, behavioral activation, interpersonal therapy), expert psychiatric medication management when indicated, and lifestyle interventions targeting sleep, movement, nutrition, and social connection — the four levers that quietly drive most relapses. We also screen aggressively for thyroid issues, vitamin deficiencies, and other medical contributors that conventional care often misses. If trauma or substance use is part of the picture, our integrated dual-diagnosis track addresses both at once.

Program

Trauma & PTSD

Luxury bedroom in a private residence for artist recovery with a balcony view and modern decor.

We provide trauma-informed outpatient care for adults living with acute trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, and complex PTSD — including survivors of military combat, first-responder exposure, childhood trauma, sexual assault, and intimate partner violence. Our trauma track uses EMDR, trauma-focused CBT, prompt-guided written exposure, and somatic and breath-work therapies, sequenced carefully inside a stabilizing, predictable clinical environment. Stabilization comes before processing — every time. We never push you through trauma work before you have the regulation skills and support network to handle it. The result is treatment that helps you process painful experiences without re-traumatization, and gives you back agency over your own nervous system.

Program

Bipolar Disorder

Bipolar disorder I and II are both highly treatable when care is consistent — most people who relapse do so not because the medication failed, but because monitoring stopped. Our board-certified psychiatrists provide expert medication management with quarterly retesting and dose adjustments. Our therapists deliver mood-stabilizing therapy, family psychoeducation, and structured education around the early-warning signs of an oncoming mood episode. We also work with you on the unsexy-but-essential pieces — sleep regularity, daily routine, alcohol and stimulant exposure — that move bipolar mood swings from disabling to manageable. Co-occurring substance use, which affects about 60% of clients with bipolar disorder, is treated in tandem.

Program

Chronic Stress & Burnout

Burnout, chronic work stress, and adjustment disorders are real clinical issues — not just “life problems” you should power through. Left untreated, they progress into clinical depression, anxiety disorders, hypertension, and substance use. We start with a thorough evaluation of your stress triggers, lifestyle, sleep, work environment, and medical history (including labs that surface cortisol dysregulation, thyroid issues, and B-vitamin deficiencies most providers don’t check). Treatment combines short-course individual therapy, mindfulness and somatic regulation work, optional psychiatric medication, and concrete behavioral interventions targeting workload, boundaries, sleep, and movement. The goal is not to make you a more productive cog — it’s to restore the bandwidth, motivation, and joy you used to have.

Program

Schizophrenia & Psychotic Disorders

Clinician discussing personalized care plans for addiction recovery with a client in a comfortable office.

We provide structured, compassionate outpatient care for adults living with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and other psychotic-spectrum conditions. Care is anchored in evidence-based antipsychotic medication management with side-effect monitoring, supportive psychotherapy, cognitive remediation, and intensive family education so the people closest to you understand what helps and what doesn’t. Our case managers coordinate housing, benefits, primary medical care, and transportation — the practical scaffolding that makes long-term stability possible. We also screen aggressively for and treat co-occurring substance use, which is common and often the silent driver of decompensation. The goal is simple: a stable, predictable foundation that supports work, relationships, and long-term function — not just symptom suppression.

Our Treatment Process

Three Coordinated Pillars of OutpatientMental Health Care

Therapist counseling a patient during a mental health and dual diagnosis treatment session
Program

Psychiatric Evaluation & Medication Management

Therapist counseling a patient during a mental health and dual diagnosis treatment session

Care begins with a thorough psychiatric assessment by a board-certified psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner — the kind of slow, full-history visit that’s increasingly rare in conventional behavioral health. We rule out medical contributors (thyroid, B12, sleep apnea, perimenopausal shifts), confirm the diagnosis, and discuss whether medication is the right tool for what you’re actually dealing with. Many clients respond fully to therapy plus lifestyle changes; others benefit significantly from medication paired with therapy. Either way, every prescription we write is closely monitored, side-effects tracked, and dosing adjusted across the first sixty days — never set-and-forget. You always know why you’re on what you’re on.

Program

Individual & Group Psychotherapy

Our licensed therapists deliver evidence-based individual therapy — CBT, DBT, EMDR, ACT, motivational interviewing — matched to your specific diagnosis and goals, not picked from a one-size-fits-all menu. In parallel, structured group sessions cover the universal terrain: emotion regulation, distress tolerance, anxiety and depression skills, trauma stabilization, relapse prevention for co-occurring substance use, family and relationship dynamics. Groups also do something individual therapy can’t: they show you, week after week, that you are not alone in this. You leave each session with concrete tools you can use that night, not platitudes. Sessions are scheduled around real work and family life, including evening tracks.

Program

Holistic Wellness Support

Healthy recovery-focused meal supporting nutrition and physical healing during addiction treatment

Sleep, nutrition, movement, and the family and work systems around you affect mental health every bit as much as therapy and medication — and ignoring them is the single most common reason treatment plateaus. Our case-management and wellness team works alongside your clinical care to address the daily-life factors that either accelerate or stall recovery. That can mean targeted help with sleep restoration, nutritional counseling for the gut–brain axis, structured movement protocols, mindfulness and breath-work, family-system coaching, and practical case management for housing, employment, or insurance. The goal is to remove every avoidable obstacle between you and the recovery you’re working toward — and to keep removing them as new ones appear.

Clinical Leadership

Care Led by Dr. Ash Bhatt — Quintuple Board-Certified

Our mental health programs are led by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ash Bhatt, MD, MRO, FASAM, with training spanning psychiatry, addiction medicine, and medical oversight. Our Cincinnati team includes a Clinical Director, advanced practice psychiatric nurses, primary therapists, and case managers — every clinician hand-selected for expertise, empathy, and dedication to lasting recovery.

Pay With Insurance

Most Major Insurance Plans Accepted

We work with most commercial insurance carriers and offer a free, confidential benefits check. Our admissions team handles verification directly with your insurer so you’ll know exactly what your plan covers before committing. Don’t have insurance? Ask about private-pay and financing options.

Hello everyone, I was at the Castilian facility this past August. I really appreciate all the support and knowledge of all the staff. You have truly given me my life back.
I'm currently at Santa Barbara New House II in Santa Barbara after the 90 day facility Santa Barbara Recovery. Working at Whole Foods, going to SBCC with a biology major and hoping to work in the recovery industry. Giving back what was so freely given to me. I could not have done it without the calaborative effort of the wonderful staff at Castilian house. If your ever in Santa Barbara look me up.

This place is amazing. As someone who has struggled with addiction most of my life and has been to several treatment facilities, Legacy was by far the best. They are extremely accommodating to their patients, the staff felt more like a family than a facility, and I feel like the genuinely care about the people who come through those doors. The groups are smaller, so they feel more personal. Dawn, one of the facilitators, is incredibly kind and really cares about the people she works with. Warren, one of the therapists, is probably one of the best people I've ever met, even the chefs are the nicest people(shout out JZ). The techs treat you like you are a person, nkt a number. Clarissa is truly amazing and Phillip keeps the house in high spirits.Hopefully this will be my last treatment, but rest assured, if I were ever to relapse, I wouldn't hesitate to call them.

Big shout out to Dennis for getting me here swiftly!! I enjoyed the holistic approach with 2 groups a day, individual therapy weekly, self-care (massage, chiropractor, facial, personal trainer), and alone time to process and relax outside in nature. The swings, pool, and hot tub were an added bonus. Warren is amazing. He is gentle, thoughtful, and insightful. The group facilitators (Dawn, Joy, Emir, and Anissa) provided both education and fantastic support to everyone. Joy took it a step further in planning the next session based upon the needs identified in the previous group. The behavior techs (Clarissa, Monica, Monica, Rava, Jimmy, etc.) were timely in response to every request and provided support. The chefs' adapted well and went out of their way to assure everyone's dietary requests and needs were met. Love the daily fruit shake! The case manager, Sarah, was timely, personal, and initiated processes without needing to ask. The medical team (Shaza, Skeku, Richard, Eliza, Gerald, Derrick, etc.) immediately addressed all concerns with medication with education and changes. Overall, a fantastic experience for a dark point in my life. This is my second time here and hopefully my last! I will highly recommend Legacy Healing Center. Thank you for everything!!!

The Castillian house and staff were amazing. Such a nice house and all the techs and nurses were very helpful and caring. Dawn, Warren , Monica, Bree , Clarissa, Andrew and Will were just fun to be around , always in a good mood and laughing and do way more than is required of them in their job descriptions and they should be getting raises for their work ethic and ability to always be positive. Just a great environment to recover in. The chefs were great too. Can’t say enough about legacy and how much this program helped me !

Overall, I am incredibly grateful to the Legacy staff members for a great experience. Staff did a fantastic job making me feel heard when I needed something or brought up a concern. My only concern was the disorganization of the higher ups at Legacy. However, all BHTs, nurses, therapists, case managers, and group facilitators were excellent. I pray I don't relapse, but if I do, I feel more than comfortable and willing to return to this program.

I have really enjoyed my stay at the Castilian location. In the past I have been to many other places that felt like they were more worried about quantity more than quality. Here I have received a more private level of care including the detox. Everyone from the medical staff to the people who work at the house daily all listened to every concern I had and would do what could to take care of it.

This is my second time at Legacy, and once again I was welcomed back immediately with no questions asked. Thank you, Travis, for making that transition so easy.

I truly cannot say enough about how wonderful my experiences at Legacy have been. The techs are some of the most experienced, kind, and knowledgeable people I’ve encountered when it comes to addiction and recovery. The psychiatric nurse and psychiatrist work hand in hand with the nursing staff to ensure medications are appropriate and that I’m not experiencing any negative side effects, which gave me great peace of mind.

The food was phenomenal! Thank you to the chefs, Mike, April, and Alec. I’m also incredibly grateful to the techs who worked so closely with me: Will, Bri, Ivan, Ty, Ray, Derrick, Rava, and supervisor Sophina. The group leaders’ vast knowledge, empathy, and understanding made a lasting impact—thank you, Lindsey, Dawn, Joy, and Marlena.

Through this experience, I’m leaving sober and deeply grateful for my fellow clients. We leaned on each other for communication, comfort, and support while missing our families and work, knowing that this time spent healing will help us return as better family members and employees. The empathy shown throughout my stay was truly meaningful.

My counselor, Nicole, was exceptional at recognizing and helping me address my core issues surrounding my alcohol use. My Case Manager, Sarah, went above and beyond by providing me with future resources so I can continue carrying on my sobriety after discharge.

Legacy has played a crucial role in my recovery, and I am deeply thankful to everyone who made this experience so positive and life changing.

With gratitude,

This place is top notch service. Its like what you see on TV for celebrities. There is a personal chef for each house. Plenty of space to stretch your legs and personal rooms. The group sessions twice a day are unmatched to anything you have probably ever exspirenced in a situation where you need treatment. Check out the website, and once you see it, you'll take the dive to get the help you need. I highly recommend Legacy out here in California, especially if you have never been to the West Coast. This is a healing exspirence I know I will never forget. Also the staff is extremely helpful and kind. Take the plunge and make the call to get sober and sound. You won't regret it.

Legacy has made me feel like a Queen from that first call that I made to them. When I was at the darkest time in my life, they helped me by taking care of all the details so that I could focus on my recovery. They booked my flight, got me to California safely, picked me up from the airport. They say “luxury rehab” and 1000% live up to it. I had a personal chef, personal trainer, messages, manicures and massages. These amenities aren’t by any means necessary, however it definitely made my stay better. The staff go out of their way to support and love on their patients.
My clinical staff, I can’t express how incredible they were. They met me right where I was at, they specifically pinpointed what I needed to work on and developed a treatment plan with me.
I’m now 50 days sober and extremely thankful and genuinely grateful to all that they have done for me. I highly recommend making that first call just as I did. You won’t regret it.

I can’t say enough good things about this facility. From the moment I arrived, I felt truly cared for and supported. The staff is incredibly compassionate, professional, and genuinely dedicated to helping each person succeed in their recovery journey. You can tell they really love what they do and go above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable and understood.

The group sessions are amazing and so informative—I learned so much about myself, addiction, and how to build a healthy, fulfilling life moving forward. Each group is led by people who clearly know what they’re talking about, and they create such a safe and open environment to share and grow.

And let’s talk about the house—it’s like a world-class mansion! Beautiful, spotless, and filled with every amenity you could ask for. From the cozy rooms to the outdoor spaces and recreational areas, it’s truly a peaceful, luxurious environment that makes healing feel possible.

If you’re looking for a place that truly combines comfort, education, and compassionate care, this is the place to go. It exceeded every expectation I had and changed my life for the better.

I had an incredible experience at Legacy Healing Center CA. My therapist Scott was incredible. He really helped me to start working on the root of my SUD. The BHT’s were kind and ensured we felt more than comfortable. Our chefs provided us with Michelin star food! Honestly the best food I’ve ever had in a treatment center and or restaurants. The facility was beautiful and I learned a lot from the facilitators and therapists.

Alumni coordinator, Isabella, got me back into treatment multiple times. She continually checked on me. She cares and it shows. Without her guidance and support, I wouldn’t have made it back into treatment. I’m so grateful for Isabella.
Wow! I cannot belive it's been 29 days with Legacy HC. They have a great team of providers, behavioral technicians, cooks, message therapy, therapists, nail techs, facials, drivers, housekeeping, Nurses and case managers. Special thanks to Launie, Cali, Misty, Mila, Lucie, Stephen, Ivan, therapists Marlena, Alexa, Lindsey, Joy, Anna, and my personal therapist Melissa. I thank all of you for working with me and other patients were where we're at. I've learned so many new skills and how to apply them to my life.
